§23.1 How to use this reference

Open §23.1 in the academy

This chapter is a concise reference of representative systems, as a supplement to the glossary (Terms & abbreviations). The aim is recognising categories and principles — seeing that a system uses the TVM/SAGG guidance from Missile Guidance, or the IR seeker from Infrared — not providing targeting data.

Detailed threat cards

For complete threat cards worked out per system (ranges, radars, countermeasures), the threat library of the AirDefense Academy is the detailed source. This EW reference is deliberately concise and focused on EW principles; the AirDefense cards are the detailed counterpart for the same systems (S-400, Buk, Pantsir, Krasukha, Nebo-M …).

Watch out

All data are open-source and indicative. Bands, roles and designations differ per variant and vary widely between open sources. NATO reporting names are given in brackets for recognition. Use this for understanding, not for operational decisions.
